PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Students test out a number of different scenarios to gain a better understanding of why desert animals spend so much of their time living in burrows. Does the desert sand act like a blanket that keeps the animals warm, or like a basement that keeps things dark and cool? Students will use a thermometer, the sun, and a few buckets of sand to find the answers. (1 per student)
