PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Students use this worksheet to practice learning about animals in the same way as world-renowned scientist, Jane Goodall. Jane Goodall was a young scientist when she created a simple style of observation that scientists would continue to use to study animal behavior for years to come. Jane Goodall was the first person to observe chimpanzees creating and using tools, a trait that at that time, was thought to be distinctly human. This discovery changed the way that we understand both animals and ourselves.

This worksheet is part of our Jane Goodall unit and involves the observation of animals on the playground, classroom pets, and dogs and their owners walking around the neighborhood. Students will practice quiet observation skills and write our draw what they have learned using the prompted questions on this worksheet. (1 per student)
