Students use this set of cards to label and preserve the leaves they identify as part of the Tree ID Lesson Plan. During this project, teachers lead students on a short nature walk to help them identify the trees they see every day. Using this method, students begin to quickly identify their neighborhood trees by the shape of their leaves and they colors they turn in autumn.
One set comes with 10 covers and 30 research sample cards; enough for 10 students to complete the project. These cards coordinate with our Tree ID Unit and our Kate Sessions Unit. (1 per student)
